Blast From the Past

This is a message I received on FB. Jim is planning to race in Cozumel, Mexico that weekend, and I would NOT feel comfortable dancing at this point, but it's a fun idea.

Hi Kamala - hope all is well with you and your family. We are holding our own over here and that is one reason I am emailing you. Garth is going to choreograph a piece for former GFD dancers in celebration of the company turing 40. Don't worry...he understands the majority of us hung up our dancing shoes LONG TIME AGO so he will go easy on us ;-) The dates to get this together and perform it is Fri., Nov. 26, 2010 thru opening night Tues., Nov., 30, 2010. I need to know if you are interested, do you have the means to travel and a place to stay in Rochester or would you need financial support to get here and do this. If you don't want to dance, you can always tape a testimonial and email it as an MPEG. Thanx a bunch - let us know. Much love and we look forward to hearing from you. Bit Knighton

Just came back from Winsome's graduation. It was very nice to see the Frames. Joanna and Kalyani met us there. Off to Rome tomorrow.

And then there were nine.

Rocky could not recover from this prolapse, and so we took her to Busters vet, they put her to sleep. It was hard, but after reading about the condition and talking to Ilze, our chicken guru, it had to be done. She would not recover. She had been in the house this last week, and we had all bonded with her.

Well, she was a chicken. But....

The picture after Chiara and Laura's recital is so nice. Susi and Jo had observation for their last dance class. They have become lovely dancers. I never quite got the picture at the height of the movement. More on flickr.

The girls' recital was yesterday. It went very well. Everyone preformed beautifully. Chandran and Madhu went off to the consulate this morning, I hope they are successful. Nick and Laura have a party at school this afternoon, Chiara, and hopefully Madhu are coming with me. Chandran will be celebrating Bloomsday with Colum.
I noticed yesterday That the plants that Kamala gave Nick & Laura are blooming.

I noticed our first pumpkin flower this morning. Nicky had a birthday party at Lucky Strike, a bowling alley. He had fun. The Puerto Rican day parade was today, We walked across the park home. It was nice to have Kalyani with us this past week and we look forward to Madhu's arrival on Tuesday.

We moved chicks to the Moug Mahal

The crew finished the chick palace about noon yesterday. We moved chicks in last evening. We moved the entire tub with them so they would feel at home. They were not happy about leaving the tub. This morning, I took them all out of the tub and left them on their nice new floor. Now I am cleaning the most dust I have ever seen off of everything from the tables to the smallest spice jar in the house, I will go out in awhile and see if chicks have discovered their new improved waterer and feeder.

A goof.

After returning from a very nice trip to see the family in NY, I went to Scotts and had pics printed. Then promptly deleted what was on my memory card. I had not put the pictures on the computer as yet.

Last night was the high school honors awards assembly. Jo won the prize for Junior English.
