Chicken Update for Mom

It's been very cold these few days. Luckily the chickens went out on Monday when it was about 30. They seem cheerful enough and are providing 3 eggs a day. The new waterer has some drawbacks. It gets clogged with straw and then there's a backwash effect. (Eeew.) But in general it works. I have cleverly identified the bird at the low end of the pecking order, a lorp. I'm calling her "The Buzzard".

Carnegie Hall

Chiara preformed at Carnegie Hall yesterday. Her school and a few others had taken over the hall. She had a great time, it was so much fun to see her up on that stage. We also saw her friends Emma and Kirin preform.

Remind you of someone?

A Difficult Day for Buster

This morning he was having trouble walking and he refused to lie down! He was tucking his pelvis in! The vet was on farm call so we had to wait until noon. The vet felt he may have injured his back falling on ice or similar. He received narcotics and a chiropractic treatment and seems much better. Another chiropractic treatment next week.
