Last Lilac Parade

Susi with the 4 drums on this end of  the middle row.  All of us watching.  I say last, with regret, but knowing it is true.  We have watched Noah, Hannah, Joanna and Susanna  march with the Brockport Marching Band  in the Lilac Parade with great pleasure.

Mad Vocals and trees to trim

My flickr is unavailable at this time.  Too busy to fix it this week or next.

Last Mad Vocals concert last night.

Happy to find a tree trimmer.  He will take off low branches of the white pines and clean up around some rocks, trim the giant poplar near the chicken yard and more.  I feel happy about taking care of this!!

A Quiet House

Sidewalk singers

Nick and Laura sang for the book fair yesterday with the PS6 chorus known as "Sidewalk Singers."

Today Laura went to Ashokan with her class. They will be back on Friday. So for now Nicky is an only child as Chiara is also gone. She will also be back on Friday.

I went to Chimney Rock because it was there

I quickly left because of all of the rattlesnake warning signs. Here are a couple pictures. I have also included a picture of my ID badge for UCH both because I'm excited to have one and because it is an unusually good picture. I guess I should mention that I drove out to Colorado and I will be here for three months. I had orientation today which was very boring. Tomorrow I meet my bosses and get more information on exactly what I'll be doing. Tonight I am going to dinner with some other interns. There are four of us from my program at Michigan here for the summer. There is another MBA student also from Michigan, but we hadn't met her until today. The hospital is very new. It seems nice. I purchased a Conair Extreme Steam fabric steamer and I love it. It was surprisingly affordable, and leaves my clothes very fresh. It even has a creasing attachment that I used on my pants and shirts! Very exciting. Okay I should get ready for dinner. Enjoy the pictures.

Glasgow

Glasgow is built on drumlins, (hills).  From the train, we had a long uphill slog to Hotel Ibis.  The hotels are good, very  basic, but enough.   We walked back down through a walking mall, it was dismal.   Then, we found the Hop On, Hop Off buses.  That  helped me a lot!  And we had a really good meal last night.  We hopped off at the U. of Glasgow campus.  The Ison's have been here before and knew of  some good restaurants near by.  We had a delicious dinner.  My starter was thin, deep green asparagus topped with a poached egg, so good.  Followed by chicken livers, done perfectly.  (sorry ladies).  Glasgow looks better.  Today we will 'hop on' and go to see Rennie Mackantosh museum.  We found the new Concert Hall on our walk

, their orchestra is performing tonight.  We purchased tickets.

Top, last dinner in York, then dinner last night.

Edinburgh

Rained yesterday, most all day.  Same today.  I think we will not see the Castle.  Good museums yesterday,  a couple today.  We think of going to the music pub that  Kamala liked, the Royal Oak.  Not too far from our hotel.  We saw a play last night.  BLAST OFF.  About coal miners losing their jobs as the mines were closed (in the 80's?).  They formed a band.  It was pretty good.  A bit of a tear jerker.

We go to Glasgow tomorrow on a morning train.  It is supposed to clear up, so maybe I will like Glasgow better than Edinburgh.

How are all of you. I hope that Rosie is not bugging Reed Rd. bunch too much.
