We had a great Memorial Day weekend. Jo came to visit and the weather, that had been pretty nasty till Friday, was spectacular. On Sunday we met with Junu ant had lunch at Jo’s. After lunch we went to see the Freedom Tower, and then took a long walk along Battery Park. Monday all the kids and Chandran went to Times Square. Jo went back home on Tuesday.

Good News

Don't ever get sick in Italy. If you do, and you think it might be something serious, get on the first plane back to the States. As you may know, Franca was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months back. After the operation the news was bad, they feared the cancer may have spread, and then we heard the cancer indeed had, and it was so extensive that they were just going to do pain management, and forgo any treatment. Apparently this information was given to us before any of the test results were actually looked at. The latest news is that the cancer has not spread and that not only are the going to do treatment they will also do Chemo (something that we were told, at first, was not going to be done because of her age).

SPRING
