There are over 800 fires burining in California. They are mostly in the mountains. The valley is full of smoke. Camps have been cancelled that are held outside. There's supposed to be another thunderstorm coming in a few days. Hopefully, that doesn't mean more fires.
I don't mean to make light of the situation, but I can't help but picture your governor show up at your door wearing a black leather suit and sunglasses, and carrying a huge weapon. He'd then say "Come with me if you want to live." and would take you away from the fires on his motorcycle.

Wow-how awful! We've been having some big thunderstorms almost daily, but they are accompanied by torrential rain and things are very green here.
