Adirondack Trip

We had a great canoeing trip. I have never been so little rained on on any Adirondack trip. We stayed on a wilderness lake, which means no motorboats allowed. In fact we saw very few people at all, except in the parking lot when we arrived. It had been raining for days, and they were all leaving. Our day trip up a meandering "brook" was foiled by beavers, as usual, but it hadn't been very relaxing anyway, because days of rain had made it into more of a river, and we were paddling up. We had a lovely camp site with a wide sandy beach. More pictures on flickr.
