Because we got about two feet of very wet, dense snow, my friends and I decided to build an igloo. About 3,000 lbs of snow later, this is what we accomplished:
From left to right: Sasha, Jason, Cole, Evan, and Celine. This is the outside of the igloo. It was constructed by creating snow bricks molded out of crates.
We then hollowed out a passageway from the outside of the igloo towards the windows of a room in the basement of the house.
Finally, we dug a cavern with benches large enough to seat 6, and with access from the windows of the basement room. It took 8 hours and about 30 people to finish, but it was absolutely worth it.

It looks nice. I wonder how it will do in the warm weather.
It does look nice. Must have been fun to build. Things are already melting down here in the city. We hardly have any snow left from the storm on Friday.
It collapsed today.
