Chicken Haiku

Bereft, we seek Dear Janice. Her loving look, her tender words, her grapes.

If you substitute Mommy for Janice, it still works.

Theirs is more of a peer relationship.

Ohhhhh, we saw some chickens on our hike yesterday, it made me think of the ladies and girls. They seemed to understand when I talked to them.

We took a bus to Stow, had coffee at the pub next to the Youth Hostel we stayed in (1977), walked on a foot path to Burton on the Water., described as a beautiful downhill walk to Burton on the Water. We lost the footpath a couple of times, It was beautiful countryside with sheep and horses and cows and country manors, and mud.

We ate chicken over warm millet and watery fish sauce yesterday for the holiday one month after tabaski. It was the first chicken I'd had in a month. So sad.

Also, I just learned that Herman Cain dropped out. This is very sad news. Here is what the Onion's "American Voices" segment had to say:

If Herman Cain's entire presidential campaign was engineered solely as an elaborate ruse for a business executive to scapegoat the news media for his serial marital infidelities, I say, brilliant, brilliant work, sir.

Noah, I really liked what Colbert said: "He touched so many people."
