Clever Dog

Gus’ barking was getting out of control. Every morning during our walk all he did was bark at other dogs and anyone with a hat on. As last week the temperature was in the teens this meant that he barked at most everyone. So today I pulled out his training collar and put it on him. He knew immediately the reason why and has hardly barked all day.

            I was the victim of a scam.  Someone pretending to be my grandson phoned me to say he was in jail because he was caught in the company of some others who had drugs in their possession.  He asked for $3600 to post bail.  Someone posing as a police officer came on the phone and told me that the money had to be sent to an address outside the U. S. so as to keep my grandson's arrest off the records and gave me detailed instructions for sending the money.  Being a protective and caring grandmother, I fell for it and sent the money to a place in South America by "moneygram".   Fortunately, my husband and I soon realized it was a scam.  We went to the moneygram center and the money had not yet left their central office and we got the money back.  We were lucky.  If we had waited another hour or so, we would have lost the money. I hope this alerts all the grandparents to be careful.

college Update

  Today is day 3 of my 4th semester of university. Or it was day 3, the day is pretty much over. This semester's schedule is definitely the best thus far. Monday, Wednesday and Friday don't start until 12:30 pm and end around 4:30 pm. Tuesday and Thursdays start around 9:30 am, but only consists of labs. I only have labs for 4 out of the 5 classes and two of those labs aren't mandatory, I can does those on my computer in my room. The other labs aren't every week, so I have a lot of free time for studying.
  Not much has happened in class because I have only had 2 of each. I really like my biochem prof. He is my kind of funny. He kind of looks like the dean from community. My psych prof is Italian, so sometimes it is hard to understand because he has a really strong accent. My structures of farm animals prof is a no nonsense kinda guy and he seems rather intimidating. Nothing else to report. Sorry this is so short and kinda of boring. It's late. I'll leave you with a joke. I'll put the answer in the comments.

I dropped Rosie off @ 8 a.m. for her spaying operation.  She seems to young for it.  So loves everyone at the vets office.  Hope she still will.

We had a wonderful time. The apartment was lovely and the location perfect. We spent time with Cristina and her Family and My uncle Mario and aunt Maria. We had lunch with Franca and we went to visit her in her new home. She proudly introduced us to all. The trip was too short, with all the social engagements it was hard to find the time to go see all of our favorite places. We did no shopping.
