College Update

So I am taking a break from studying, mostly because there is a group of people who keep "whispering" together. I am not one for confrontation, so I am using this time to vent. I wouldn't care so much, but this is a quiet floor. It should be quiet. They also giggle a lot, which is very irritating. I can understand if you want to have a group study session, but don't do it on a quiet floor and actually studying might be helpful. There are also a lot of people sneezing and coughing and sniffling. Now, I am not a germaphobe but it's getting to a point where I check the table and chair to make sure there is nothing gross. I also do not set my pens or pencils directly on the table, because I tend to chew on them.  Don't worry, Mom, I don't chew on my Ph D pencil. I also don't lend any utensils. I refuse to get sick at school. If you get sick and need to get checked out by a doctor here, you have to put one of those mask things on and wait for more than an hour with other people who are feeling just as icky as you are. Not fun. The only time I have been sick this year was when we were in New York, I intend to keep it that way. I don't really know how to describe the library. All I know is when I enter it is day and when I leave it is very, very dark. It sorta just sucks you in. I don't know if that is good or bad. I will continue to study here anyway, because I like it. I LOVE it when it is actually quiet. You can't see me, but I am sending them an angry stare. I swear they are just legit talking now. I am tempted to move. I won't, but I am tempted. We should have a library police force, if you are too loud you will be escorted out. Sort of like ushers at the movies or something.
So, it gets like really cold here. I mean, there is cold and then there is Canada. Today it was just under freezing and I felt like I just needed a little jacket or maybe just a sweater. It was lovely, I didn't feel like I was inhaling ice every time I took a breath. It was also not too windy, which my hair is grateful for.
I seriously want to hit something, these guys are just being loud now. Maybe I am over reacting because nobody else seems to mind.
I discovered a hole in my grey converse last week. It was very disappointing. I have gone back to wearing my beat and holey pair because I don't want to make the other ones worse. I will continue to wear them until they can no longer be worn. I might get new shoe laces though. These ones are starting to get pretty bed and I don't really know what they have been dragged through. I slept in pretty late today. I told myself last night that I was going to get up at 8 am. When 8 rolled around I decided on 8:30. Next thing I knew it was 9:30. I did go to bed pretty late. I technically went to bed this morning. I hate doing that, but I didn't have classes today so I thought I could get away with it.
I think the noisy group is leaving! Victory is mine! Although I didn't actually do anything, I'm still gonna take this as a win for me. Nice and quiet now, as it should be.
Ok back to studying now. Notice that I did not use an exclamation point for that statement. I don't want anyone to get the wrong interpretation.

Jo, you are a good writer. You make me laugh out loud. What were you studying anyway? Or not studying. Are your exams over? How were the exams?

Exams are not over, I have a few more left.

6 degrees of separation....my nutritionist, who happens to come from Rochester and was friends with Rachel Zinman and knew Jen Lapham, told me today that her brother is Daniel Radcliffe’s stylist.

Also, you have a nutritionist? What does she say?

I log in what I eat and she comments. We meet every few months. She will make suggestions about foods with better nutritional value. It’s a good way to maintain a healthy weight.
