From York

Hannah lives on the 3rd flooor!  We have been enjoying York a lot.   The museums are kid friendly (Sara and Chandran).  We went to he Jorvic Museum this morning-  A good and entertaining slice of Viking life.

Good food,  just had the Tea at Betty's  (samples of 4 sandwiches,  clotted cream with scones and jam, then 3 beautiful and delicious pastries), Cafe no8 bistro,  Ambeinte Tappas.  All good.

Tomorrow we go to Edinbourgh.

Graduation

I'm graduating! Saturday, May 17th at 9am.

I've only been able to get 4 tickets. The rest of the "leftover" tickets are being released this Saturday so hopefully I'll be able to grab some more.

Who is coming and who is interested in coming to the ceremony? The guest speaker is Bill Nye the Science Guy so it should be pretty good! We'll have a party at the house that night with the Calvins.

NYC Visit

Susi and her friend, Alma, came to visit us on Monday. They left today. It was nice to have them stay. On Tuesday, Chiara had a day off for Passover, and the three of them went to Times Sq.

Wednesday, Susi and Alma took Laura to The Met. Chandran, Nicky and I went to visit a school in NJ for Nicky. It was interesting. Nicky was not impressed.

Yesterday Chandran took Susi to class with him. We then met at Saravanaa's for lunch.

Are you dying eggs in NY?  New clothes?  Going to church?  (The last 2 were traditional with me growing up)  Jo and Noah came pretty early this morning, to our house that is.  They arrived late last night from Canada.  And,  Noah and Rachel H. are home!!  Dinner tonight.  Kamala, when do you leave? Hope your trip is good.  I will call you later today to get some details.elm

I will clean up the beautiful azalea.

The House is Gone.

The chimney

The Hommel house came down on Thursday. It just took them two days to clear the site. The garden and the bushes were left standing. Only a few beams could be saved, the rest had rotted. They also saved the bricks from the chimney.
