Looks can be deceiving. She's afraid of everything.

We are waiting to hear about Winnie, Kalyani! Is she a good dog.......or, not....?We have Nina....I will say no more.

Nina only has that one bad thing, right? The escaping. Winnie chews, digs at the rugs, jumps on the furniture, doesn't come when called, is obsessed with deer, and barked at an electric outlet that bit her (twice) for at least 45 minutes. She's a handful, but a soft and warm handful. And we think trainable. We started lessons last week. We think she may be hard of hearing. It would explain a lot about her behavior when we are far away. Also, I've taken her to doggie day care twice now. She likes that. It's just a big mob of dogs and two humans. Afterwards she's very, very weary. It's the doggie day care people who asked me if she about her hearing.

Sounds like she's pulled a fast one over on you with the hard of hearing thing.....smart girl. Regarding her other bad habits- in this house things like jumping on the furniture and digging giant holes in the backyard don't even get a mention on the list of bad behaviors!
