The beach is wide, mice had headquarters elsewhere, only occasional visits here, however, squirrels had many pine nut meals upstairs (?). It was 25 degrees cooler at the lake then at home. we have another nice restaurant nearby, Carlton Inn on rte 98. A few more shots on my flickr account.

For the Lake campers, we have some bad (?) news. The Creekside store has gone out of business. It has a "For Sale" sign and is totally empty. Joanna thinks we should buy it and run it. On the positive side, what used to be "Carlton Inn" on Rte. 98 has now been taken over by a good chef, a new name "Carlton Four Seasons" and is becoming upscale. Mom, Susi and I had dinner there. It is certainly worth another visit
Oh no. Hope someone buys it.
nooooooooooo
I know. Where are we going to get our penny candy?
Jim Mitchell tried to buy Creekside last spring but they would not come anywhere near his offer. Maybe he will try again.
It would be nice to have someone with a sense of history. He could call it Townsend's.
That was his plan - to call it Townsend's.
