Chiara biked all the way to Joe's Shanghai with me, with Laura providing commentary and analysis from her bikeseat. We met Sara and Nicky at the Mulberry St. playground, then went and ate huge amounts of dumplings and scallion pancakes. Chiara handled the streets with confidence and total control. It was a gorgeous day.

Wow! Good biking, Chiara.
I agree, Wow! Sounds like fun. Beautiful day here also, I walked around the wooded areas to the West and North. Planted a wisteria, and transplanted a couple of other plants, weeded some. Went to town for an alto extra rehearsal for the 9th Symphony, very helpful. Now, I wish we were at the lake!
Can we have a recording of Laura's comments during the bike ride? Chiara's riding a bike in NYC is both scary and exhilarating!
Where did you plant the wisteria, Mom? Gorgeous weather here as well. Hosted a dinner for 20- it was very pleasant. My food was good and it was nice to meet the Brazilians. I really enbjoyed reconnecting w/ Chuck's brother,Jim, and especially his daughter, Caroline. I first met her the weekend I found out I was pregnant w/ Eliza-she was getting married! I like her a lot. Looking forward to the wedding tomorrow!
Good to be reading your day to day stuff. Don and I laid the vinyl in the shed...looks good. He's getting a pipe from Raymond right now to put the electrical wires in for a little shed juice.
Don reports that he read Guy Lawson's article in the Sept. 17 Rolling Stones.
The wisteria: as you walk down the 'library' hall looking straight ahead, just over that banister. It will cut into by clothes line, but if it blooms, it will be a good spot!
Good for you, entertaining the guests for the wedding.

Good job, Chiara. I hope Laura wasn't disappointed by the absence of farms en route.
We spent the beautiful day at Niagara Celtic fest in Olcott watching large kilted men through things. Very relaxing. The best was the beer keg thrown for height.
The kilted men threw things. Not through.
Go ChiChi!!! I could never do that!
