it was a lovely week end with Janice and Madhu. We went to the Met to see the new middle Eastern and South Asian galleries, done beautifully. Had a nice lunch at Saravanna's and a very good dinner with Junu at il Riccio.

FYI to all-I am going to San Juan for the long weekend, leaving Thursday afternoon and returning Sunday evening. Am just going to a Courtyard Marriot near the airport, but it is on a beach and on weekends there is a live salsa band in the lobby bar and apparently locals come to dance-that will be fun to watch.

That does sound like fun. We're off to a weekend in Porterville, CA. No beach or live salsa band, but Don's relatives. His uncle's wife is turning 100, so she'll be in the Veteran's Day parade (rain is predicted). I think that Steve is going, but mostly Don's brother, Bill's family. And lots of cousins, (Mormons). I'm actually taking some pottery to work on, books to read, but have promised Don that I'll be friendly.
