Hal Memorial Talent Show

As you all remember, a great fish named Hal died on the way to Brockport about twenty-three months ago in a freak seat-warmer accident. I'd like to have a talent show in his honor during Thanksgiving. So get your talents ready. We miss you, Hal, and we all think about you every single day.

How are things in NYC, Sara, Chan et al? And yes, I too mourn the passing of a good fish named Hal.

Jo will play the clarinet, IN THE BLEAK MID WINTER. I will accompany her on the piano. This may be a surprise for her, but she can do it. Oh, if not Jo, her mother will be game, unless she has some math game planned to present.

A fitting memorial for Hal.

We are all well. Junu is staying with us till power is restored in his building. He went to work this morning. We don't know when school will start again. NJ has canceled Halloween. We will try and go trick-or-treating later.

I will NOT be attending Thanksgiving. I also haven't played the clarinet in a very long time, it probably wouldn't sound very nice.

I remembered soon after I wrote it. It was wishful thinking on my part.

I'll do it, Mom.

Jo, sorry we won't be seeing you at thanksgiving.
How long is your winter break? We get back from Rome on Dec 31, you are welcome to visit anytime in Jan.
