I like Bess! I went to Higbies, and have a welcome home kit for her. Well, I bought a small crate, freeze dried liver treats (for serious training), a leash, collar. They gave a few welcome extras.
Let's call for nominations. We need to decide by Saturday. Mom and Dad have veto, of course. I agree about the syllables. Mittens Rosie (name of the Moons' Irish Setter, though) Josie Lily Eudora
I like Rosie. We do not see the Moons that often. Betsy? no, I like Rosie better. I have cooled on Bessie and Bess also.I do like the Queens connection though.
I like Rosie. I think that you're not supposed to use the name of someone in the household, and S&H call Jo Josie. (Or, more often, Josephina with the Mexican pronunciation.)Lily was Ashwani's childhood dog; short-lived. Cora was my great-grandmother's name, so can't use it for a non-human.
As long as it isn't named "Bernard Montgomery Scott" and we don't call it "Monty" because that's what I'm calling my boxer that I plan to eventually buy.

Are you getting a dog?!
Yes we are, Jo.
I am proposing a re-naming, Bess. For both "Corgi & Bess" and Elizabeth II Regina.
Sweet!
cute!

I like Josie.
I'm cooling on Bess. Sounds like a cow.
How about Jenny? It was an early idea.
Jenny is too human. I think you should name her Rosie.
I like Rosie.
Actually, Rosie is good. Susi calls me Josie, it would get confusing.
Wow! So cute. A two syllable name is essential for a dog, I think. I like Rosie as well.
Don't know why that double posted. It will be removed. There's always "Mittens".

"A Rose by any other name is Sadie"
this is the heading for a bit on naming your dog in my current reading
YOUR DOG, THE OWNERS MANUAL.
SADIE!
How about Luna, or Starbuck?
I knew about Cora-thought it could be a tribute, however I really love Sadie.
I knew you knew.
