One of Susi's classmates and his father are going to the Iditerod as volunteers. They've arranges to buy 2 dogs also, and are planning to get into dogsledding. Their current dog is Tucker-sized, but Susi's friend has trained it to pull him on skis. There was recently an unfortunate incident involving a mole.

Laurie's dog growing up was a husky named Gandalf. Very high strung-we spent a lot of time chasing him down around her neighborhood.
