Chiara is feeling better. We went to an orthopedist today, She put on a new cast and told us that it's Chiara's scaphoid bone that has a fracture. this might mean she needs to be in a cast for 8-12 more weeks. In other news my dad is going into the hospital tomorrow, nothing serious, he has a few things that need to be looked into and his doctor felt it would be best he went in for a few days so that all the tests necessary could be done at once.

I commented on FB, but will also do so here-sorry to hear this news and happy that you're feeling better, Chiara. So glad it's not your right hand, though, and that it's not summer so that you will still be able to swim in the lake.
Chiara, how do you shower? Can you get the cast wet? It looks INCREDIBLY inconvenient. (I am wearing a brace on my leg at night. That is also inconvenient, but I guess it keeps me from doing odd positions in my sleep.)
That is quite an impressive cast! Hope it comes off soon. Are you getting everyone to autograph it?
Wow, Chiara, that's much larger than I had imagined. How will you pick your nose?
I must mention, I take the brace off in the morning with a great feeling of freedom. Your cast, I suspect, does not come off. Your's is inconvenient!!
That is a huge cast.
Thanks for you concern. I can't stand it's inconvenience. I put a plastic bag over it when I shower
Also, let us know about your father, Sara.
having a cast is no fun. have people signed it at all?
I hope the weeks go by fast for you, Chiara. And that nothing itches?
Chiara! I miss you so much!
Next time I see you, can I sign it?
Hope you got my note from your doorman.
Miss you and hopefully see you soon.
