The wedding was a truly traditional South Indian Brahmin wedding. It started around 9 a.m.and finished around 1:30 p.m. Fortunately, the guests were not expected to stick around all that time; only the bride, groom and their parents. Janice and I got there around noon and the important event (the tying of the "Thali" which is the equivalent of the exchange of the rings) took place around 12:30. Also, they told us to start eating around that time; it was a good thing since we were quite hungry. The food was varied and excellent.
