Cornell

We had a very good time at Cornell's First Year Family Weekend (FYFW). We were nice and dry in our cabin at Treman State Park as it rained the first 20 hours we were there (we were there for about 24 hours total).

We climbed the tower to see the chimemasters at work, visited the bookstore, of course, one of the libraries, saw Noah's school, from the outside as pictured, and Madhu and I toured the Johnson Art Gallery with incredible views over Ithaca, Cornell and Lake Cayuga.

We stopped at a couple of wineries on the way home, bought some hard cider only. Then we drove to Clifton Springs, where our favorite waiter from Max's has moved to a restaurant called Warfields. Clifton Srpings is a beautiful small Finger Lakes town with an old, brick, well kept hospital, that evidently specializes in holistic medical care!? It was nice to see Jon (waiter) and we had a good meal. If only Brockport would have an entrepreneur to open a good restaurant.

Thanks Noah, that was a fun trip.

Did anyone see Stephen Colbert?

We did. He underwhelmed about 3,000 at $30 a head, then did a second show. Mom--the chimesmaster pic is really good. And you forgot the chapel.

I was going to say about S. C.: the major interest was getting there and back! We walked in the rain and waited in a line amounting to a couple blocks at least.

I did not forget the chapel, I tried to get a pic of it up with my glowing remarks that it is as beautiful as a European cathedral (not including Italian Cathedrals of course), but it would not come up right side? I corrected the direction in iphoto then again when I mounted it on ourblog, but when it was published it was on its side everytime.

Did Noah win the freshman office that he was running for?
What does he think that we should do about the immigration issue?

No, Noah did not win. He should speak to the immigration issue, as I haave no idea what he thinks about the issue. Noah, are you there?

Too bad that Stephen Colbert was not at his best. Sounds like you had a great weekend despite the rain.
