There was a fire in the building across the street. The engines arrived at about 6:45 AM. It was Nicky who noticed. He is very much into fire trucks these days and so he looked out the window when he heard the sirens. Not unlike Noah those many years ago. It was very exiting. There were no injuries.
Chiara is taking The Test this morning, it ends at 12:15, and then we will meet up with the Koerner’s for brunch.

She took the ISEE. It’s a standard test for private schools.

At first I thought that no one had been injured, unfortunately I was mistaken. A 78-year-old woman died, she was the only casualty. Apparently she was a heavy drinker and smoker. They believe she caused the fire by smoking in bed. She had been a writer her name was Marilyn Kaytor.
