I love reading the blog this morning. The Memorial service, snow, Felix (we had better look into that quickly). My thought is that it should be printed, it is such a good record, not only the posts, but the comments.
Well, we returned last night after a very long day of travel from Lisbon, to Frankfort (airport) to Phil. to home. The Frankfort-Philly leg was on Envoy class, thank you Ison! That makes a huge difference. Some photos, more on my flickr account.
Top: view from 'our' apt in Lisbon. next: a delicious meal.

That top picture is a view from our apartment in Lisbon. We had a marvelous time in spite of the rain on some days. All the streets in Portugal are on a steep incline. The food was great, except for a couple of instances. My meager Portuguese came in handy even though most of the people in the big cities knew English quite well (including the Englishman whom I was asking in Porugeuse where to find the Gulbenkian Museum!). There was an unusual exhibit about an Indian painter in Sintra and a display of pictures and documentary movies on Gandhi.
we SHOULD print it. might be time consuming to get all the comments in there. maybe blogspot has a way to do it.
Welcome back! Indian painters are very inn these days. When my parents went to India in the late 50's they bought two paintings. We had them recently appraised. Though one may not be worth anything the other one has good value. I wonder how much they paid for them at the time.
I checked into printing the blog before Christmas. You can have it made into a very attractive book. It was outrageously expensive, though, because I didn't think it should be at all edited, and there's a lot of material. Maybe we could do a sequence of volumes.
Warning: Don't go to Mom's flickr if you're at all hungry.
The photos are wonderful. Sounds like it was a wonderful adventure!
