A writer who lives on Sandringham Dr. decided to start sleeping over at his neighbors' houses as a community building exercise. One of his neighbors is Jamie Columbus.
I think Kamala is alluding to the murder by an RIT professor (Wells is his name) of his wife a couple of months ago. He is alleged to have strangled her and dumped her in the Mendon Parks.
The murder/suicide which is mentioned in the "In the neighborhood" link my main post must have happened a couple of years ago. It's hard to keep all those Brighton murder suicides straight. It happened at a house on Sandringham, near Ambassador Dr. I didn't bring it up from morbid curiosity, honest- it's just that the book is getting a lot of buzz, and it's about our old neighborhood.
