Chiara's in!

Chiara got into the Rudolf Steiner school. There were only a couple of spots open, and we are tremendously proud of her. Since I first saw the school, I have felt that it was perfect for her. Chiara is happy, though I don't think she was feeling the pressure of the whole process, thankfully, and so is not feeling the depth of relief that Sara and I are.

Congratulations Chiara! Another Steiner educated family in the family. It will be interesting to hear about the differences from going to a public school to Steiner.

Glo,
Did you know Steiner was from Croatia?

And the wily and parsimonious Victor Navasky is an alum.

Yes, it was was part of the Austria-Hungary empire then and he worked for the Waldorf-Astoria cigarette factory where he was hired to develop a school for the worker's kids, which lasted a year until it became an independent school in 1920.

I am so pleased with Ryan's Waldorf school, so I'm very glad that Chiara will go to the Steiner school.

I told Chiara’s teacher today, he was thrilled. Thinks it’s the perfect school for Chiara.
