What did you all think about that?

Who's Caroline? DO you mean Carolina?

Ah, you mean Caroline Kennedy's support for Obama in the NYT mag section. She has not been political before, that I know of.

It was interesting. I was surprised that she did it. I also agree with her.

I was surprised, too. It's certainly her first endorsement, so a really strong comment. I also thought Obama's speech last night was really good.

If you missed the speech, it's on npr.org. It's very, very short.

They had it in the NY times today, probably worth listening to.

I feel such enthusiasm for B.O. Uh oh those are his initials! But can a black man beat McCain? I think he could beat Romney.I still think that those of us on the coasts are insulated from Middle America. I especially feel that in MA we are completely apart from the rest of America.

I'm in a very red zone. Really. People WILL vote for Obama, but they won't vote for Hillary. And McCain will have trouble from the right. And Obama will bring the black community and the youth out to vote.

We asked Tom what he thought, and his first response was Obama.

I saw Caroline give her speech on Jim Lehrer's Newshour last night. She was impressive; so beautiful and well composed. Ted Kennedy's speech was also there and he too was inspiring. I think that Obama has a very good chance – the thing going for him is the same as for JFK. There is an aura about him that gives me hope. Tom Talley does not like McCain and is not sure whom he will vote for in the Republican primary, but he seems to be sure to vote for Obama in November!
