I ran into Mrs. Skoog and tried to interest her in the democrats-in-a- heavily-republican-district-have-more -input thing, but she feels that NY delegates are not locked in anyway. Her daughter has always worked on Clinton campaigns, and is now high up in the county organization. She feels that the powers-that-be in Democratic party politics (i.e. super delegates) are all for Clinton. She's Obama. She's excited.
He's often referred to as a maverick. What worries me about McCain is that though he might have made a decent president maybe 16 years ago, he is way past his prime. My father thinks he's gone a bit batty.

It should be exciting. The nice thing is that worst case scenario it's going to be better than what we have now.
Im not sure about the validity of this, but uh oh.

Ouch.
In addition, the New York Times described John McCain as a "maverick" today. I find this to be funny.
